Announcements

	Welcome to the Columbia Midtown Seventh-day Adventist Church. We are so happy to see you and trust that you will receive a great blessing for having worshipped with us. If you are visiting for the first time, please fill out a visitor’s card to let us know.
	Don’t forget that next Sabbath will be Fellowship Lunch again! We now have Fellowship Lunch twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th Sabbaths of each month.
	Our church now has its own phone number, 803-834-9115. This phone will be answered by volunteers who will give directions and information to potential visitors who respond to our ads in the newspaper or on the internet.
	Last Wednesday evening, August 13, we were blessed to have Pat Arrabito conduct our Midweek Prayer and Bible Study hour. She spoke about changes to the calendar, and 20 people showed up for this presentation (that’s almost 60 percent of our membership!). Ms. Arrabito is part of the team that will be holding the Sabbath Day lecture and panel discussion tonight.
	Today, August 16, we’re pleased to have Kevin Morgan as a guest speaker. Pastor Morgan is part of the panel that will be discussing the Sabbath Day changes at the South Carolina Archives and History auditorium, 8301 Parklane, Columbia, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm tonight. Following the lecture will be a panel discussion, so bring any questions you have about the Sabbath. There will also be many resources on the Sabbath question to take home. For more information, call Sensible Living at 800-837-3139. Let’s all turn out for this special presentation. If we exceed the auditorium capacity, there will be overflow rooms provided, so come tonight, everone!
	Communion Sabbath is coming up. Our next Communion, the second one of the year, will be held August 30, the fifth Sabbath of the month.
